Niall Bennett, H20 Creative Hair, 2 South Street, New Ross, Co Wexford
I was 23 when I opened up my own business. It was a difficult time and a very lonely time in business. If found being a member of the IHF of huge benefit to my business at the start up stage. To this day I get great benefit form being a member of the IHF. It is great to know that there is soemone just a phone call away that will give you advice, source information for you, discuss your business issues with you and provide support. I feel the contacts I have made and the networking with other business owners that I have been able to do through the IHF has been invaluable to my business".
Michael White, Salon 33, 33 Patrick Street, Cork.
“Membership of the IHF gives me access to support materials, advice and up to date information on all aspects of running a hairdressing business today. Membership is an essential part of my business.”
David Campbell, House of Colour, 64 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1
“The IHF is a fantastic organisation which if used to its full potential will be the difference between having an amazing business or just an ordinary one. With so much knowledge and advice just a phone call away I would say it is a must have membership. It has allowed us to grow in so many directions and is the heartbeat of Irish Hairdressing.”
Audrey Roche, Evolution, Main Street, Baltinglass, Co Wicklow.
“Being a member of the IHF means I can contact the IHF office at any time with whatever business query I may have. This could be an employment law issue, a question re NERA, a question re Training, a question re wages rates etc. I depend on the IHF a lot in my business. I feel it is most important that our industry has a service like the IHF at the end of a phone call

Roy Kennedy, Talking Heads, Rathfarnham, Dublin
“First of all thank you for the opportunity to take part in this information pack. The IHF benefits my business in many different ways, to name a few I am in business a year and a half and when I was starting out my business I would have had many stressful moments, the IHF was there to answer any questions I had regarding staff ect and was a huge help and support to me during this time helping me with the little things that mean so much as a member and salon owner”.
Jim Hatton, 40 Dunville Ave, Ranelagh, Dublin 6
“When we opened our salon in April 09 the IHF were the foundation stone to all the information we ever needed regarding business set-up, insurance, team member rights, wages. Without their help and support it would have made our first 4 months of business a nightmare”.

It has had many changes over the years and has gone from strength to strength in being a very professional body representing our industry. The Federation portrays a professional image of the industry. An enormous commitment is given by the executive committee members to build the Federation on our behalf.
