TEAM IRELAND
2009 will see Ireland being represented at International and European level as follows:

International Hairdressing Open Championships Oslo in May 2009
European Cup Open Hairdressing Championships Athens in June 2009
International Rose de Or Championships at Mondial Coiffure Beaute, Paris in September 2009

TEAM IRELAND is the name given to a team of hairdressers who represent Ireland at International, European and World Hairdressing competitions.

The ladies team have been directed by Maeve O\'Healy-Harte for the past number of years and the men\'s team by Charles Hussey for many years.

During the time the Tema have competed with success at Interantional, European and World Championshi events in Paris, Frankfurt, Athens, Uruguay, Helsinki, Milan and Moscow.

Irelands first gold, silver and bronze World Championship medals in ladies hairdressing were gained at the World Championships in Milan in 2005
How the team are chosen:

The team members are chose from competition events such as the Irish Hairdressing Championships, The L\'Oreal Colour Awards, The Wella Trend Vision Awards, Seminars and Shows.

The Criteria:

They must be involved in one of the above events with some success and their salon must be a member of the IHF. After that they go through a selection process.
