EMPLOYEE Minimum Hourly Rate of Pay for an Apprentice

| Under age 18 | 6.06 euro per working hour | 5.36 per working hour |

Rates of pay for employee over age 18 yrs in a course of training or study, undertaken in normal working hours: (for an apprentice) |

| 1st one third period | 6.49 euro per working hour | 5.74 per working hour |
| 2nd one third period | 6.92 euro per woring hour | 6.12 per working hour |
| 3rd one third period | 7.79 euro per working hour | 6.89 per working hour |
| 4th one third period | 8.65 euro per working hour | 7.65 per working hour |
NB: In order to pay the Minimum Wage rates (to an apprentice) you must follow the guidelines relating to the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 as set out in the Irish Statute Book. A course of study or training must satisfy the criteria set out in Section 16 of the National Minimum Wage Act 2000.
