 A great social evening was had by all that attend the National Hairdressing Awards 2010 on Sunday night 20th June in the stunning Shelbourne Hotel, Stephens Green, Dublin.

 

The International Guest on the evening was Ms Annie Humphreys.  Ms Humphreys arguably is the most imaginative and iconic colourist ever to have graced the industry.

Glamour and excitement was the order of the night at the National Hairdressing Awards 2009 celebrating the success of Icons in Irish Hairdressing. Some of the countries most successful hairdressing talent were in attendance. The event held in Shelbourne Hotel on Sunday 13th June kicked off with an International Icon Award being awarded to Mr Patrick Cameron one of the worlds greatest hairdressers who was the Irish industries chosen guest icon.

The IHF ALL STAR Award is an achievement or recognition of service to the industry. It can be a once-off or a continuous contribution highlighting the IHF and the industry in a positive light to the general public in many different ways. Hairdressers at all levels can be nominated for this award but must be young at heart.

    The Hall of Fame Award honours competitive hairdressers and also some media 'darlings'. It is focused on hairdressers who have won either:

    The Irish Hairdresser of the Year Award three times,
    The Irish Photographic Award three times or
    Have held the Champion of All Irish Champions Award for three years or more.

    Fire Prevention

    All Salons owners and employees depend on the continued ell being of their Salon for thier livelihood. A serious fire can easily disrupt the day to day running of the Salonand in some cases even put them out of business. Major fires can be started by arsonists, misuse of electrical equipment, smoking materials, mechanical head and sparks, rubbish burning or other causes. The spread of fire thoruhgout the premises may be assisted by waste, electricla insulation, packaging materials, stock or flammable liquids suchy as dyes or liquids.
