The Irish Hairdressers Federation would like to announce that it will host the OMC European Cup Championships on 29th and 30th May in the RDS, Dublin, Ireland.
The OMC European Cup Open 2011 will take place in the vibrant city of Dublin in Ireland. The Irish Hairdressers Federation are looking forward to hosting this prestigious event. This event will provide a major boost to the hairdressing and tourism industry in Ireland. The OMC (Organisation Mondial Coiffure) which is the world’s largest hairdressing and beauty organisation in the world. It has over 60 member countries and 500,000 salon owners world wide. Ireland has been a member of the OMC since 1993.
The Irish Hairdressing Championships coined the Oscars of Irish Hairdressing have been run by the Irish Hairdressing Federation since its inception in 1974, showcases the best of the industries talent with technique based awards ranging from Cut and Colour Awards to Long Hair Up-styling and the more elaborate Creative Fantasy Award. In 2009 over 500 hairdrssers of varying experience competed against each other. In addition, over 2,000 people from the hairdressing industry, the media and the general public attended the event at the Burlington Hotel.
